Hello, Poetry Friend
Kosmeo Magazane just released their Evergreen issue, and I am so happy that my poem “Psalm 92” is part of the collection. Here are the verses they chose as a prompt:
I don’t have palm trees where I live, and I have cedars but not those cedars, so I wrote a psalm about my trees.
Psalm 92
Sunday, and not one palm tree in plain sight.
Pecan trees hold their green despite the drought.
Crepe myrtle bushes grab heat’s every calorie
with hot pink hands. There are no olive trees.
