"Ode 1.11" by Horace
Love this, Megan, and Nye’s and Berry’s words as well.
All the great ones write about hope.
“They make me want to take a walk while hope runs ahead, along the seashore. I will keep walking in her direction.”
I love that image!
Thank you for sharing your collection of poems. I’ve been feeling hope-haunted too.
oooh, "hope-haunted" is a great word!
Wishing you a beautiful birthday, Megan! Thank you for sharing these words surrounding hope— but not demanding it.
Yes, Bethany, that's it exactly. Not demanding hope.
Happy Birthday Megan! (and may God bring joy and many people to your book launch). Waving from Seattleland.
Thanks for your behind-the -scenes nudges that made the book better.
Happy Birthday, Megan!!!
My problem with hope comes when I tie it to expectation.
Oh yes, Patricia! I think often when we talk about hope, what we are actually talking about is expectation. Letting go helps me get to Hope.
We should all keep following hope's path. Happy Birthday 🎂
Thank you, Latoya!
